Just for the sake of it!

No, I’m not dead!

Inactivity strikes again!

Yes, yes… I haven’t posted anything for about 2 months now. I’ve been playing too much Counterstrike: Source and Team Fortress 2. TF2? Yes! I bought that game recently and I must say I like it. I really love the cartoon-ish graphic style. I’ve also been playing some Tibia, on Libera. I started as a Druid but I havn’t logged in for a week or two because college also takes a lot of my time away. Anyway, in case I forget: Merry Christmas and a Happy 2008.

Boots, nearly everyone wears them. There are all sorts of boots and they all have a different price, look and quality. If you are looking for quality boots than you should check out Danner Boots. These high quality boots are excellent as workwear. But that’s not all, they also offer free shipping for orders over $100. And don’t forget their competitive prices.

These Danner Boots are also used as heavy duty boots for Cops and the Military. Copshoes.com provides those kind of boots. Metboots.com provides the work and outdoor boots. So if you’re looking for a pair of high duty and high quality boots then these two stores are an excellent place to start searching.

Why I like the Nintendo Wii

My brother has bought a Nintendo Wii not so long ago and I must say that it was a great choice to buy it. I just love to play those old NES console games on the Nintendo Wii. Even N64 games are supported. I’ve already been playing some SMB1 and Mario 64. I think Paper Mario will be next on my list. Now why isn’t Duck Hunting available on the Wii? Haha, good old games, they are still great though!

Personal Security Dogs

Personal security is getting more and more important. There are multiple ways of protecting yourself from dangers such as criminals, murderers and who knows what else might be lurking around the corner. You can protect your house with security camera’s, your car with a caralarm. But how do you protect yourself? Have you ever thought about that?

One way to protect yourself is with the help of protection dogs. These dogs are trained to protect you from unwanted things. But how do you get a quality protection? Well, if you’re searching for a protectino dog than you should check out CCK9.com

Outsourcing, cons and pros

Outsourcing in the IT business is getting increasingly popular in the UK. More and more companies use this method to focus on their core business. Outsourcing and having your IT services in-house has advantages and disadvantages. But let’s start with, What’s outsourcing?

The last, let’s say, 20 years, outsourcing is become very popular. With outsourcing a company only focus on their core business and the other remaining tasks will be given to other companies who are specialized to carry out those tasks. For example, almost every company has a website, and often their website is maintained by another company. Recruitment was getting less and less important. That’s outsourcing.

Outsourcing has the advantage that you don’t have to recruit new people to do certain tasks. You can just contact a company, such as a webhost and a web designer. They are specialized in what they do, so it’s easier to just contact a company and tell them what you need than hiring a single person. It can also be cheaper because of the competitive prices in the current ICT branch.

But outsourcing also has disadvantages. For example you’ll lose control over certain tasks such as full control over your website. It also causes inflexibility because you can’t react quickly on changing circumstances. Another disadvantage is that the security of your company can be threatened. Outsiders from other companies might get access to confidential data when doing their jobs. That’s not really secure, is it?

Nuker’s Ubuntu 7.10 Log

So I decided to put the latest version of Ubuntu on my laptop, a Toshiba L40 -12k. I only stumbled upon a few problems. As usual WLAN didn’t worked out of the box and somehow my keyboard layout was messed up.
I fixed my keyboard layout by reinstalling Ubuntu and setting it
to US English instead of NL Dutch. Now I just need to fix my
WLAN Certificate.

Bored?

What to do when you’re bored? That’s a question I ask myself daily, and every day I stumble upon things which are fun to do/watch when you’re bored. One of those things is explosm.net’s comedy: Cyanide and Happiness. The theme’s are somewhat adult rated, yet they are rather funny. Check it out below!
