BluRay’s Turn

A while ago Muslix64, a user from the doom9 forums, claimed to be the first person to bypass the AACS used by HD-DVD’s. This work around made HD-DVD’s copyable. After HD-DVD it was BluRay’s turn. BluRay also uses AACS, but the is a difference. While HD-DVD has mutliple keys to decode the data on the disc, BluRay only has one correct key for decoding. So it’s obviously harder to bypass BluRay’s AACS.

But somehow BluRay’s AACS has also been bypassed, and once again by Muslix64. This time he had some help of a fellow AACS cracker. He did this without attacking the BluRay software. Instead, he aimed for the data on the BluRay discs. Once again it seems everything is copyable.
